Major Islamic Dates in the UAE in 2027

Ramadan 2027 is currently expected to begin on Monday, 8 February 2027 in the UAE. Eid Al Fitr is expected around 9 or 10 March, depending on the Shawwal crescent sighting.

Eid Al Adha 2027 is currently expected around 16 or 17 May, with Arafah likely one day earlier. The first day of Muharram 1449 AH, marking the Islamic New Year, is expected in early June.

These are not final official dates. For religious observance and public holidays, always follow the latest UAE announcement.

Why Can UAE Islamic Dates Change?

The Hijri calendar follows the lunar cycle. A Hijri month can contain 29 or 30 days, and the official beginning of some months depends on whether the new crescent is sighted. That is why an astronomical calendar can be used for planning while the final UAE date may still shift by one day.

Current 2027 projections reported in the UAE place Ramadan around 8 February, Eid Al Fitr around 9–10 March, Eid Al Adha around 16–17 May, and the Islamic New Year in early June.
